In 2002 Qingpu’s gross domestic product reached RMB 1.68 billion. The proportion among the primary industry, the secondary industry and the tertiary industry was 5.5:61.3:33.2. Compared to the level of the last year the primary industry decreased 0.6 percent, the secondary industry increased by 0.5 percent and the tertiary industry grew by 0.1 percent.
