By 2002 the industrial added value of Qingpu District reached RMB 9.93 billion, increased by 18%. The total industrial output reached RMB 50.22billion, an increase of 17.2%, the first time to pass RMB 50billion, among which, the output value of state-owned collective enterprises’ rose to RMB 8.02 billion, increased by 5.7%; that of foreign-funded enterprises’ value reached RMB 22.71billion, an increase of 15.5%; and that of private enterprises’ reached RMB 19.49billion, up 25%. They took 15.9%, 45.2% and 38.9% of the total industrial output respectively. About 54 enterprises had their industrial output over RMB 0.1 billion respectively, totaled RMB 20.63 billion, up 30.4%. They took 41.1% of the total industrial output.
